The Next meeting
The next meeting is Friday, February 22, 2008 at 5:30 pm
- This meeting will be held at the Espanola Hospital in the Chamisa Room. Ask to be directed to the room from the front lobby.
- Chai tea and low carb muffins will be served.
- Activities will be provided for the children

I had a great experience at our first meeting. One woman I had been speaking to told me she had a hard time getting her daughter to check her blood sugar. The kids were playing soccer and pretty soon my son came up and dramatically claimed to the world that he was "low." In our family the response is, "check your blood sugar," so he got his monitor and the girl (yes, same one mentioned a second ago) turns to her mother and says, "mom, I'll check mine too."
One little tiny experience showed me how important it was to keep up this effort. The children need to be around other children who have to do the same things they do. Parents need that kind of support!
